About Laura
I’m Laura. I’m a photographer who specializes in capturing genuine, heartfelt portraits and the candid, unscripted moments woven into everyday life. I live in Austin, TX with my sweet baby Lola, my husband Christian, and our dearest Blue Heeler, Ichiro. Lola’s magical entrance into our lives helped me to embrace a new, fresh, wonderous season of life, putting my creative pursuits center stage.
In college I studied film photography. Some of my favorite memories from those New Jersey years were in the wee hours of the night, developing film in the dark room, blasting Girl Talk, and obsessing over the portraits of my beautiful friends coming to life before my eyes. I’m all about the the vulnerable, the messy, the calm, and the emotion. Whether it’s a laugh so good it makes your stomach hurt, a look you share with your partner, slowing wayyyy down because photo sessions with children move at their own pace, or the way your kids throw their arms around you because you’re their safe space, those are the moments I’m after.
I’m excited to get to know you, to dream up the vision for our shoot together, to dive into what you’ll wear and how you want to feel. I can’t wait to connect.
